Novel Mechanical Flux-Weakening Design of a Spoke-Type Permanent Magnet Generator for Stand-Alone Power Supply

چکیده

In this paper, a novel mechanical flux-weakening design of spoke-type permanent magnet generator for stand-alone power supply is proposed. By controlling the position adjustable modulator ring mechanically, total induced voltage, i.e., amplitude back EMF vector sum can be effectively adjusted accordingly by modulation effect. Consequently, variable-speed constant-amplitude voltage control (VSCAVC) with large speed range achieved. Compared to electrical method, method easier operate without risk PM demagnetization. The analytical model presented, and operation principles are illustrated. To analyze performance different combinations stator/rotor pole pairs, four cases optimized analyzed using finite element comparison. characteristics VSCAVC analyzed.
